Spider-Man: Brand New Day at CinemaCon

Holland described the new film as "the most emotional Spider-Man movie we've ever made, and in some ways, the most grown-up."

The scene, which Holland said comes from "early" in the film, shows the impact of Doctor Strange's amnesia-inducing spell from the end of 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, which made the entire world —including Peter Parker's girlfriend, MJ (Zendaya) and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) —forget that he ever existed.

The footage begins with Peter following Ned to a college party after his former best friend buys kegs of beer at a bodega. After someone hands Peter a drink, the wall-crawler wanders into Ned's room, where he discovers that his ex-BFF has a massive bulletin board full of photos and news clippings about Spider-Man.

Ned then emerges from the bathroom and explains that he's built a "Spider-Tracker" app to home in on the web-slinger's whereabouts, as he has fond memories of Spidey saving him on a few occasions.
